Have wheel, will travel

My blogging has fallen by the wayside due to the obsession I've developed with my new beautiful wheel,.. you can see the pure delight in my face no?

The Prelude and Minstrel were pretty tempting but due to severe space limitations in Chez Rooney, it was only practical to get one that I could fold away when not in use. It's also handy that it's light and portable in case I ever need to take it with me down to the pub,... or to a gig... on perhaps on holidays? Gruff has been extremely understanding about my spinning and even had a go on it.

This is my first spun spawn - the colour combination of navy and mustard makes it look twice as bad. The ladies were very kind about it on Wednesday but it looks like something that fell off the back of a lorry onto the M25.

The Greeks would call this hubris - you win an award for your knitting but the fiber gods decide to humble you with your human failings. Oh well - I was so ashamed that I couldn't do anything else but laugh.

As Lucy said, 'Don't worry hon - it can only get better'. Must. Spin. More.
